Positional Stock Trading Strategies for Financial Markets from Udemy - Review, elliot waves strategy, stock market course, trading course based on elliot waves

One better part of this course is that the videos are short and crisp with no beating about the bush for hours on one video. One video gently leads to the next chapter without wasting unnecessary time, leaving one craving for more.
This course does not deal with all aspects of trading. It sheds light on a narrow but three important list of trading strategies i.e. positional stock trading, Elliot waves and Gap in classical technical analysis.
This course does not go around explaining every technical analysis tools. It does not preach candlesticks analysis or EMAs or indicators. Nor does it wander into the fundamental analysis region. It is unlike those courses, which nibble in every part of the capital market. .It precisely focuses on three price analysis parts - positional, Elliot waves and gaps.
Positional stock analysis is extremely important. It falls somewhere between active and passive investing. However, it is important because once a script is taken at a proper position at trend start, it can lead to multifold profit. The key lies in riding a trend whether up or down. But it is easier said than done . Identifying the start of a trend is most important. If every trader could have identified this trend successfully, then most of them would have been rich. However, most cannot identify the start  of a proper trend. Any price ascending or descending cannot be called a trend beginning.
This course straightway starts with explaining the concept of positional stock trading. It stresses on why positional trading is much better than frequent day-trading. It stresses on advantage of positional trading like less attention to minute price fluctuations, lower transaction charges owing to almost zero trading per day as opposed to frequent Intraday trades. Indeed, once a trader can ride a real trend, returns are manifold at very low costs.

Trading cannot be successful without a proper strategy in place. The next video gives some positional trading tips. This video deals with the creation of a proper positional trading strategy. The video explains how to formulate a proper entry price that should be taken at the start of a proper trend. But that is not all . The author explains the logic behind calculating the correct  stop-loss and target price too, before taking a new position.
One must thank the author for emphasizing the important principle – To be consistent one has to be a disciplined trader. And to be that disciplined trader, one needs to have the whole strategy in place for positional trading. This strategy is dealt with in the course "stock trading strategy basics".
The next video deals with the main technical tool for this course –The Elliot wave trading and its analysis. Due importance is given to defining the Elliot waves first. The author then gradually enters into the main components of Eliott wave- The motive , impulse waves and the diagonal triangles. Elliot waves are a summation of these waves . Understanding these concepts is very important. The author does his job admirably, with nifty charts for live examples.
Motive and impulse waves are part of a long-term trend. However, it is important to understand the shorter correction that will come after the main trend. Those Elliot waves are termed corrective wave. They are more complex than the main trend forming impulse waves. The next video deals with the corrective waves.
One important factor in this course is the fact that the explanations, examples, and charts are simple but illustrative. This is an easy easy digestible training course. This easily digestible point is important because Elliot waves are difficult to conceptualize or to make out. Kudos to the author for trying to take a difficult trading tool head-on in a simple manner.
At the very start, Yash Utmani had made it clear that this course will be a converge of three aspects of trading – Positional Stock taking opportunity via positional trading principles , Elliot waves and Classical Technical Gap analysis.
Positional trading and Elliot analysis are dealt with in the previous videos. The next video logically is on  Gaps. Gaps are one of the most trend reversal or trend start indicators. The videos are divided into two sections. The first video under this chapter deal with important Gaps like Gap up, Gap down, breakaway and exhaustion Gaps. But the next section deals with equally non-indicator false gaps , that should not matter and thinking them as Gaps may lead to false signals.

Now combining the knowledge of positional stock analysis, Elliot waves and Gap technical analysis, Yash presents three trading strategies, which are easy to understand.
The last videos series of this course deal with dealing more into the Elliot waves, after an Elliot wave pattern emerges. There are guidelines on how the waves, trendline and triangle depths in Elliot waves, are to be measured. This chapter is very important to get the basics of Elliot waves clearer and calculate the target price,
The course contains one interesting video on money management, where the percentage of capital that can be invested in each trend or wave pattern, is discussed.

Elliott wave theory is difficult to understand. They are are not as simple as trend displayers like SMAs or indicators like RSI and MACD. But, they are extremely popular in trading because these waves have been created from a fundamental recurring fractal wave patterns in nature, and have been present in price patterns for more than a century.. Many times Elliot waves have proved themselves to be correct indicator of a trend start or reversal in stock trading. Yash Utmani does well to make the Elliot wave conception clear and demonstrate its use in positional stock trading. Try to buy the course when deep discounts are available on it.
